How to send a payment

Send into mobile money wallets or bank accounts.

With Beyonic, you can easily send mobile money payments or bank payments to your contacts. See the full list of available mobile money providers and banks here.

Creating a mobile money payment to a new contact

  1. From the home page, select ‘Send Money'.

  2. Select the ‘New' button.

  3. Enter the recipient's details and the amount you wish to send.

  4. Click 'Send' to send the payment.

  5. Verify and confirm the payment details by selecting ‘Send’ again to process the payment or ‘Cancel’ to cancel the payment.

  6. You’ll receive a confirmation message on the status of the payment.

Creating a mobile money payment to a previously used contact

  1. From the home page, select ‘Send Money'.

  2. Select the contact and verify the contact details.

  3. Enter the amount, then select 'Send'.

  4. Verify and confirm the payment details by selecting ‘Send’ again to process the payment or ‘Cancel’ to cancel the payment.

  5. You’ll receive a confirmation message on the status of the payment.

Limits on payments

Mobile money providers and banks have minimum and maximum transaction values. You cannot send less than the minimum or more than the maximum at a given time. While you can send more over multiple transactions, please check that your recipient wallet or bank account can receive as much as you send.

MTN Uganda

  • Minimum payment: 500 UGX

  • Maximum payment: 7,000,000 UGX

Airtel Uganda

  • Minimum payment: 500 UGX

  • Maximum payment: 7,000,000 UGX

Limits on bank payments

  • Minimum payment: 5,000 UGX

  • Maximum payment: 20,000,000 UGX

How long does it for the funds to reflect in the recipients' accounts?

The transactions are processed in real-time and will reflect instantly.

I sent money but the beneficiary has not yet received the funds.

  • Amount

  • Phone number

  • Payment/Transaction ID

  • Date and time of the payment

Can I cancel or reverse a payment?

Once the payment goes to the mobile money provider or bank, we can't retrieve the funds. Please carefully review your transaction details before confirming.
